As per the recent notification released by the Intelligence Bureau of India, the department has opened up more than 500 vacancies. These vacancies are for different roles such as Deputy Director, Junior Intelligence Officer, Research Assistant, Accounts Officer, Security Officer, Library Attendant, and many others.

Eligibility Criteria

The department is offering positions to candidates in different sectors and departments. Hence, the eligibility of the candidates will highly depend upon the department in which they are joining.

  • Age Criteria

Though there is no such lower age limit mentioned for any of the positions, in most of the positions, the upper limit has been mentioned as not more than 58 years. Apart from the age, there are also many other eligibility criteria that the candidates need to fulfill such as these:

  • Education Qualification

  • Working Experience (If Required)

Maximum Salary Grade Rs. 5400 per month or even more for some designations

IB Selection Process

The selection process will be in two steps depending upon the post you are applying for. The very first step is to comply with the eligibility criteria of the said vacancy. If the candidates are matching the eligibility criteria and are able to provide the relevant documents to prove their eligibility, they are allowed to move ahead to the first round of the selection procedure.

  • Online Test – Tier I:

This will be the first round for all the senior positions. The candidates will have to go for an online test that will be a multiple choice and objective type exam.

  •  Online Test – Tier II:

This is again an online test but the question paper will be of descriptive type.

  • Interview:

It will be the final stage to conclude the selection process. All the candidates who have successfully crossed the above two steps will finally enter into the interview round after which the final selection will take place.

  • Screening:

After the tests and interviews are done, the screening will start. This will include the screening of the documents presented as well as the health screening. It is only after the successful screening only that the right candidates will be selected for the desired departments and positions.
